Addlepated cockney Drusilla turned terrible poet William into her devoted companion back in 1880 – though that didn’t stop her doing the deed with Angelus. Together they cut a swathe of carnage for over a century… until Dru dumped her cheekboney beau for a slimey, antlered chaos demon. Ouch.

Forget soppy love triangles, The Vampire Diaries’ best relationship award belongs to Klaus and Caroline. He’s a centuries- old super badass, she’s a newly turned high school student. He’s instantly smitten, revealing a rarely seen soft side. She, er, hates him. They get together eventually though, with Klaus declaring his intentions to be her “last love”. Awww.
