Beyond ridiculous, more like. 2010’s Skyline presented an invasion by brain-harvesting aliens from the perspective of an LA condo. The sequel hurls Frank Grillo from subway to spaceship to South East Asia, spouting dialogue from the Big Book Of Laconic Swears – often cradling a newborn, like a Bruce Willis Athena poster. A cavalcade of explosions, martial arts and mecha rumbles distracts you from calculating precisely how stupid it is. An IQ-reducing guilty pleasure.
