THE LIVING DEAD GIRL
RELEASED 25 June 1982 | 18 | Blu-ray
There’s a novel, borderline environmental spin on the vampire myth in Jean Rollin’s horror. It’s a toxic spill that resurrects Francoise Blanchard’s dead heiress, condemning her to haunt the countryside in a billowing gown like a silent, spectral Stevie Nicks. There’s a ton of nudity, and the vampire attacks are vicious and lurid, but something genuinely melancholy underpins the undead carnage.
