Fright nights
Blood, guts, chills… It can only be Arrow Video FrightFest
Hang on to your hairnets – the year’s best horror festival is back! “Our audience knows that over five joyous days, they will be jolted, saddened, terrified, transported and even transformed,” says co-director Alan Jones. That couldn’t be more true this year, as the festival – spread between the Cineworld Leicester Square and the Prince Charles Cinema – presents a fiendishly seductive line-up of premieres and exclusive screenings.
Opening the event is Jenn Wexler’s The Ranger (above), a slasher ode to punk, while Gaspar Noé’s intoxicating Climax will close the fest. Also aim to catch Leigh Whannell’s Upgrade (see p9), Darren Lynn Bousman’s St Agatha, and a plethora of zombie comedies and horror musicals. Tickets are on sale now. JW
