Walking Dead – the biggest being the impending departure of the show’s leading man, andrew lincoln.

that includes the introduction of new baddies the Whisperers, led by samantha morton’s alpha, while there’s also a major shift behind the camera, where angela kang takes over showrunning duties from the longstanding scott m Gimple. “We are starting a new chapter of the story,” says kang. “We are starting with a time jump, so that gives us the opportunity to see where our characters are at after the war has ended. We also get to see the world in a way that we’ve never seen on the show before. We see that nature’s taking over, that man-made structures are falling down, and that brings challenges to our group. We’re dealing with themes about civilisation and how you look to the past to build the future.” For the first time, that future won’t be built around rick Grimes – this is unprecedented territory for the long-running zombie hit. re
