a warlock joins the insanity in season four

ArguaBly the loopiest (and most fun) of the DC superhero shows, Legends Of Tomorrow is getting a tone adjustment with the arrival of john Constantine (Matt ryan) as a series regular in season four. “we’re changing our genre up,” showrunner phil Klemmer tells SFX. “we’re going from fixing history to dealing with the world of these magical creatures. our show is a comedy, in my mind, and to offset that kind of lighter tone we wanted to get into some dark stories. i’m a fan of horror and mashing it with comedy. listen, there’s a reason why people laugh when they are scared, and that’s what we’re doing this season.” Klemmer continues, “the show becomes more outrageous, more absurd and preposterous, and our [third season] finale was an explosion of all those things. in order to counterbalance that, a lot of the themes at the heart of the show are much more real. we played arch villains, the legion of Doom and Vandal savage (Casper Crump). now, we’re looking at the evil of just humans and to fracture the team a little bit. when we fixed history, it was clear you put it back the way it was. and then we got in that moral grey zone of fixing the parts of history that were broken to begin with. now this season, it’s the morality of these ‘monsters’.” as to how that will play out, Klemmer teases, “what Legends does with everything is slightly off centre, so if we do a minotaur story it will be about, ‘what’s his story? what makes him tick?’”
