Gotham The Bat-prequel returns for its shortened fifth and final season of a possible 13 episodes. The arc will focus on Bruce Wayne’s final transformation into the Dark Knight we all know and love.
Marvel’s Agents of Shield Another 13-episode run here, and at the moment there’s no confirmation we’ll see Coulson and May again, but at least most of the other SHIELD agents will be back for this sixth season. the Passage The original pilot for this was partially recast and refilmed before it was greenlit by Fox. It tells the story of death row inmates who become vampires, and the only girl who can stop them.
What we Do In the Shadows Taika Waititi’s vampire mockumentary has already spawned sitcom Wellington Paranormal (currently airing in New Zealand), but there’s also the US TV version, starring Kayvan Novak and Matt Berry, to look forward to.
the orvIlle The better-than-anyone-reallyexpected Star Trek spoof continues, with episode “Primal Urges” – cut from season one – airing as part of this second season instead. Expect around 14 episodes overall.
Krypton It looks as though season two of the hit Superman prequel series will feature lots of ne’er-do-welling by Brainiac, and a live-action debut for fan fave comic book character Lobo.
roswell, new mexico The reboot of angsty teen drama Roswell looms out of Area 51 with what will, no doubt, be the message that maybe some aliens can be our friends. Donald Trump will hate it.
good omens Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s raucous supernatural novel hits screens with Michael Sheen as Aziraphale and David Tennant as Crowley, alongside an absolutely heavenly supporting cast.
Timewasters The “black to the future” gang return for a second outing in this ITV2 comedy about a group of black jazz musicians thrown back to the 1920s.
Britannia David Morrissey is back on British soil as Roman General Aulus Plautius in this Sky Atlantic series set in 43AD. That’s not good news if you’re one of the Celts he’s persecuting, mind. Jayne nelson
