It’s impossible to watch this British indie (also titled Twenty Twenty-Four) without thinking of Moon. Like Duncan Jones’s masterpiece, it follows the sole occupant of a remote base (this time underground) with only a computer for company. Unfortunately, the AI here, Arthur, doesn’t speak; this means that a vast amount of the film is made up of static shots of text on a computer monitor. Andrew Kinsler does his best as Roy, a man tasked with preparing for the apocalypse, but boy is it dull.
