“I read the Manifest pilot script. This plane goes missing then, after five-and-a-half years, it lands again and no time has passed for the people on the plane. I was immediately hooked; I wanted to know how that worked, what happened to the people’s families and all these interrupted lives.”

MADE OF STONE

“Ben Stone [my character] has a son who’s dying of a terminal illness. When he got on the plane there was no cure for this cancer. When they land again, there is – and it was developed by another passenger that was on the plane. So what does that mean? I think that all of the passengers that were on this plane are going to have interconnected lives, which is going to be really interesting in different ways.”

FIGURING IT OUT

“Ben is a mathematician; a man of science. He wants concrete answers and solutions, he wants to find the truth about things and he’s gonna set out on this obsessive journey to figure out what happened to them on that plane – for good or bad.”
