Available to download since May but only now arriving on shiny disc, FaHreNHeIt 451 (1 October, DVD) – an HBO movie of Ray Bradbury’s dystopian classic – stars Black Panther’s Michael B Jordan as fireman Guy Montag, who in this social media-satirising update, torches servers as well as books. We said: “Slick and stylish, but can be a little corny… and it’s a struggle to buy into the notion that Guy is a man of heightened sensitivity.” The title of INCIdeNt IN a GHOStlaNd (out now, Blu-ray/DVD) suggests supernatural goings-on, but Martyrs director Pascal Laugier’s latest is actually a home-invasion horror, albeit one which plays with what’s reality and what’s fantasy to disorientating effect. Centring on two teenage sisters who are brutally tortured, it’s one for those who derive satisfaction from getting through an endurance test. Reeltime Pictures’ latest collection of their long-running Myth Makers series, blaKe’S SeVeN (out now, DVD), brings together interviews with six key cast members of the ‘70s show, plus effects man Mat Irvine. Most were shot between 2000 and 2005, many at locations used in the series. Finally, a quick rundown of the latest slew of TV box sets. Out now: Arrow Season Six, Colony Season Two, The Good Place Season One, Gotham Season Four and Lucifer Season Three. Supergirl Season Three follows on 17 September. Arriving on 24 September: The Flash Season Four, Legends Of Tomorrow Season Three, Lucky Man Season Three and The Walking Dead Season Eight. Phew!
