Kurt Russell – his Snake Plissken days ancient history – hams it up as Santa Claus in this daft Netflix movie aimed at either young kids or post-pub adults. He’s a Santa who won’t say “Ho ho ho!”, who enlists little Kate (Darcy Camp) and teenager Teddy (Judah Lewis) to help him save Christmas. The script is abysmal, but is saved, just, by the wide-eyed Camp being the cutest kid in the world. Shame about the terrible CGI elves, though... Jayne Nelson
