You’d think that an SF thriller, playing out in real-time, about a lone astronaut hurtling helplessly towards the Sun would have a sense of urgency on its side. Yet, mystifyingly, pace is the one thing Carl Strathie’s debut feature seems to be lacking.

It’s a handsome-looking film, but Steven Ogg’s Troy Holloway is a pretty gnarly individual to be stuck with for the 88-minute running time, and by the end you may barely care whether he and his escape pod make it back to Earth or not.
