THE FLEMING COLLECTION

-

Once the 007 influence is looked for, trademark elements of the stylish spy are everywhere in Chitty; from wacky contraptions and gadget cars, to the remarkably Bondsounding name of Truly Scrumptious. Goldfinger, played with pantomime relish by Gert Fröbe. Anna Quayle, the doting, child-fearing baroness of Vulgaria, had also appeared in (non-Eon entry) Casino Royale the previous year. Desmond Llewelyn, a long-time Q, cameos in the junkyard scene.
