ThunderCats was created by Tobin Wolf, an engineer and toy inventor who also helped create a portable record player for teens.

Voice actor Larry Kenney played Lion-O in the original 1985 series, and returned as Lion-O’s ill-fated father Claudus in the 2011 reboot.

Both Marvel and DC have produced ThunderCats comics through the years – in 2004 the ’Cats even teamed up with Superman!

James McAvoy is a fan of the show – in 2013 the Professor X actor told Total Film he’d love to star in a ThunderCats movie.
