What did you make of the reaction to culber’s death?

I was heartened by the response. It was really moving to me, personally. And I think the payoff is going to be amazing. What happened last season to this character is not just glossed over; there is a real followthrough in that story. There are consequences to what happened, and they are played out.

What’s it like playing a character who’s dead?

He knows he’s dead; he’s on the outside looking in. So I have to say it was dark. I had to go to a pretty dark place to do some of the stuff that we’ve had to go through this season. Just imagine what it’d be like to be away from the people that you love and the things you love to do – the trauma of that.
