A stillborn child is reanimated by an errant lightning strike and grows up to find she’s got electrokinetic powers: it’s a plot straight out of the ’80s, and Reborn has the cast to match, with Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator) and Michael Paré in leading roles.

But no, this Carrie-lite silliness really was made recently. It’d be tempting to forgive its hammy inability to address its bigger themes if it actually was a few decades old, but by now everyone involved should probably know better. Sarah Dobbs
