THE YEAR OF THE DOCTOR

Just when you thought there was no more Doctor Who until Christmas – or New Year, who knows – those clever bods at the Beeb only go and offer up possibly the biggest Who adventure ever.

Time Lord Victorious is a multi-platform story that’s taken four years to come together. It’s so big that 30 products are being released across – takes a breath – the BBC and Penguin Random House book ranges, Titan Comics, Doctor Who Magazine (never heard of it), audio releases from Big Finish and the BBC, products from Eaglemoss HeroCollector (the folk who do the fabulous figurines) and interactive elements via Escape Hunt, Immersive Everywhere and Maze Theory (who brought us the VR game The Edge Of Time).

The release schedule is currently planned to be staggered from September to January 2021. But what exactly is it? The story features the Eighth, Ninth and Tenth Doctors, as well as Rose Tyler. The Daleks and Ood also make an appearance, but more characters are due to be revealed. Is this something to do with the darker Doctor we saw in “The Waters Of Mars”? Time (Lords) will tell…
