Captain’s Log

-

At the time of writing, in an ever-shifting sea of changes, there’s been some (potentially!) good news and very positive hope for things to come in the world as we lumber towards 2021. I don’t know about you, but I’d almost forgotten what good news and something to look forward to felt like. The irony being that, after almost a year of being mainly stuck indoors, the hope is that I’ll be able to lose myself in the dark of the cinema many times in the coming months.

But I’m getting ahead of myself – you see what a little optimism leads to? If only I had a time machine. Yes, of course I’m setting that up for our lead feature – finally back on screens and on the cover of the world’s best-selling sci-fi mag, Doctor Who is back! I’m delighted to bring you this world-exclusive first look at “Revolution Of The Daleks”, and I expect the BBC are as well as I think I’ve been asking them for it since last Christmas.

Much like the rest of us, the Doctor has been stuck inside while something unsavoury is at large. But fear not – help is at hand… Trust science (fiction)! I’m so excited for over an hour of new Doctor Who, and Daleks obviously, and glad to see this year go out with a bang – with the promise that she’ll be back next year for more. Hopefully the next time we hear that familiar materialisation sound and see that face again, things will be looking a lot better for all of us. I’m so glad we’ve had our always-loyal readers to keep us focussed in 2020 – thanks to all of you. Have a lovely holiday season, you’ve earned it!
