The Leitchville Bun­yip cod com­pe­ti­tion has wrapped up, with a 66 cm fish the long­est caught.

Tim Howard, of Ko­raleigh, won the over­all cham­pion an­gler prize of an elec­tric mo­tor for the ag­gre­gate length of legal­sized fish an­gled, with a 65 cm and a 66 cm cod giv­ing an over­all to­tal of 131 cm.

The num­ber of en­trants to­talled 187, which in­cluded 13 ju­niors.

The seniors’ mys­tery prize for a carp catch went to David Chap­man from Slaty Creek, and the ju­nior carp catch prize went to Har­ley Bladier from Cardi­gan Vil­lage.

Dur­ing the com­pe­ti­tion, only five Euro­pean carp were caught.

The big­gest win­ner of the day was Nu­murkah’s Bill Kier­nan who won a Stacer 399 boat.
