Cream rises to the top in on-farm chal­lenge

Parkville Bur­dette Katie, owned by James Dil­lon of Waaia, was awarded Best Ud­der and Supreme Cham­pion Cow in the North­ern Vic­to­ria Ayr­shire On-Farm Chal­lenge.

Parkville Bur­dette Katie, owned by Waaia’s James Dil­lon, was awarded the Se­nior Cham­pion Cow in the North­ern Vic­to­ria Ayr­shire On-Farm Chal­lenge.

The chal­lenge, which was judged on Novem­ber 5 and 8 by Ian Gal­lus, saw 61 cat­tle en­tered from 10 ex­hibitors, with pre­sen­ta­tions made on Novem­ber 21.

The Se­nior Cham­pion Cow also was awarded Best Ud­der, and Mr Dil­lon was also suc­cess­ful in the Re­serve Ju­nior Cham­pion Cow class with Re­gal Park Op­por­tu­nity Rose.

Stan­hope’s Doug Sch­len­ert’s cow Werombi Lindy was the Re­serve Se­nior Cham­pion Cow and Ju­nior Cham­pion went to Lach­lan Park Tessa, owned by Lach­lan Forster of Strath­mer­ton. Lach­lan Forster, of Strath­mer­ton, owns the Ju­nior Cham­pion Cow, Lach­lan Park Tessa. Re­serve Se­nior Cham­pion Cow, Werombi Lindy, is owned by Doug Sch­len­ert, of Stan­hope.
