Thursday, November 29 A total yarding of 580 head came forward at the Wangaratta Livestock Exchange. This was 205 more than the previous sale and consisted of 525 young cattle, 48 cows and six bulls.
There was a good selection of grown steers and several pens of milk vealers. The quality of the vealers was very good on past weeks but many were showing signs of the dry.
A few heavy beef cows sold to steady demand with most cows 10¢ to 15¢ cheaper.
The grown steers on offer sold to limited demand, with prices 8¢ to 10¢ cheaper.
