Colourful fun run raises funds

Tallygaroopna Primary School student Nicholas Church took a colourful blast from both sides during a fun run at the school yesterday to raise money for new sports equipment.
Tallygaroopna Primary School students, parents and future students coloured their spirits yesterday to raise money for new sporting equipment.
The school’s oval was set to impress with sprinklers turned on, a variety of obstacle courses and a lot of coloured powder to share.
School business manager Karen Armstrong said it was wonderful to see all the excitement including a special visit from County Championship cricketer Ryan Sidebottom and Australian rules football player Steele Sidebottom.
‘‘The boys attended the school and now have a niece who attends and a nephew who will be attending next year so they are still very much a part of our community,’’ Ms Armstrong said.
Star Collingwood midfielder Steele Sidebottom returned to his old school for some fun.
