Don’t be fooled by social media

You see the wins, the ups and the good times. You see the perfectly staged, Åltered and edited photos.

This is how many people portray their health and Åtness journey, both online and otherwise. They portray the perfect journey in every way and with every step.

Because of this many newcomers to the Åtness world start their journey with this perfect image in mind.

But often when it doesn’t happen, selfdoubt kicks in.

The questions then start AEying around in your head — they can do it, why can’t I? Is there something wrong with me?

But it isn’t you; there is nothing wrong with you.

You can do it and you damn-well deserve it.

So how do Åtness journeys really play out then?

The moment you decide to change your life is the moment you choose to enter a new level of being uncomfortable.

Being uncomfortable is where the magic happens and where what you dream of lies.

You will have to challenge and even change some of your beliefs to get there.

You will have to face your bad habits head-on.

You will have to be vulnerable enough to allow someone in to help you solve your biggest problems.

You will celebrate lots of good times along your journey but choose to step-up and be even stronger when things take a U-turn or go off track at times.

You will have to ask for more help when you are struggling and ask questions you may not want to ask to help you understand. You will need to make sacriÅces. But in the end, when you see the journey through, you will sit back and smile.

You will sit back, smile and think: why didn’t I do that sooner?

Remember this — most things you see on social media are just not true.

Know there will be good times and bad along your journey and that you will need to reach out and ask for help at times.

In the end when you make it you will sit back and see how much it was actually worth pushing through the hard times.
