Christ­mas fun is get­ting se­ri­ous

To­day marks the open­ing of Shep­par­ton Li­brary’s in­ter­est­ing Let Me Be My­self: The story of Anne

Frank ex­hi­bi­tion, which runs un­til March next year. The free ex­hi­bi­tion can be viewed dur­ing the li­brary’s open­ing hours.

With Christ­mas just around the cor­ner, the Shep­par­ton and Goul­burn Val­ley Christ­mas Ex­trav­a­ganza will be held over two days at the Shep­par­ton Show­grounds.

Run­ning from 9 am to 5 pm each day, the event has more than 200 stall­hold­ers with Christ­mas gift ideas ga­lore.

It’s car­ols time with Mooroopna Car­ols in the Park on to­day from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm at John Gray Oval, McLen­nan St, Mooroopna.

The event will fea­ture live mu­sic with the house band, var­i­ous lo­cal artists and mu­si­cians in­clud­ing Reg Poole and Cal­lum Glee­son, lo­cal schools, mu­si­cal groups, Sing Aus­tralia Choir and a spe­cial guest visit by Santa — all topped off with a Åre­works and sound show.

The Angli­can Church will have its dress-up na­tiv­ity scene and photo booth along with gi­ant jump­ing cas­tles and an in­AEat­able soc­cer tar­get.

The event is a great fam­ily fun night out so bring your pic­nic rug, chairs and Christ­mas cheer.

It is all about Åsh to­mor­row with the 2018 Mur­ray Cod­fer­ence at East­bank in Wels­ford St, Shep­par­ton.

If you love catch­ing Mur­ray cod, golden perch and other na­tive Åsh then head along to the event, which fea­tures speak­ers such as Carl Jocum­sen, Rob­bie Alexan­der, Stephen Booth and more.

The Mooroopna Car­ols in the Park are on this week­end. The event draws fam­i­lies from across the Goul­burn Val­ley for the fes­tive cel­e­bra­tion.
