Magic mu­sic from quar­tet

The sweet sound of string quar­tet mu­sic could be heard from Shep­par­ton’s La Trobe Univer­sity yes­ter­day, with Affin­ity Quar­tet per­form­ing as part of the Shep­par­ton Fes­ti­val.

More than 30 peo­ple at­tended the live per­for­mance yes­ter­day af­ter­noon, en­joy­ing a glass of wine and some beau­ti­ful string quar­tet mu­sic from clas­si­cal com­posers.

The quar­tet brings to­gether four mu­si­cians from Melbourne, Ni­cholas Wa­ters, Ioana Tache, Wil­liam Clark, and Mee Na Lo­jew­ski, all of whom are regular per­form­ers with the Melbourne Sym­phony Orches­tra.

The quar­tet hosted two per­for­mances dur­ing the week­end as part of the Shep­par­ton Fes­ti­val along with run­ning a free work­shop to teach their skills to other keen mu­si­cians in the com­mu­nity.
