Why did you get vaccinated?

Because we have to for life to return to normality and after watching the rest of the world, it‘s about protecting the vulnerable people in our community.

Why did you get AstraZeneca?

I feel as though the adverse reactions were blown a bit out of proportion. I know young people who have had side effects from Pfizer, people who haven‘t and people in their 60s who had no reaction to AstraZeneca.

How was the booking process?

I could book in at the Shepparton Vaccination Hub and get it almost immediately.

I booked through the website — it was really quick to do.

How was the vaccination process?

It was a really good experience, I was in and out in under 40 minutes, everything was well signposted and everyone was really friendly.

In terms of a reaction — I had a bit of a fever but only for a few hours.

What are you looking forward to?

It would be good to visit family overseas and be able to travel. But it will be great when we can have businesses open as normal, a lot of businesses have been affected by lockdowns and had to close suddenly.

What would you say to someone aged under 40 considering getting AstraZeneca?

Speak to your GP, they‘re likely to have more relevant information than the internet.
