CALL TO STAY THE COURSE

PREMIER URGES AFFECTED SHEPPARTON RESIDENTS TO STAY IN 14-DAY ISOLATION AS CASES RISE TO 36

- By DARREN LINTON

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has implored thousands of people currently subject to a 14-day quarantine to stay the course as the number of cases in

Shepparton rose to 36.

The numbers in quarantine ballooned again last night when Bourchier St Primary School was added as a Tier 1 site.

Notre Dame Secondary College and St Brendan’s Primary School have also been identified as Tier 1 exposure sites following the emergence of a positive case on Sunday night.

St Brendan’s students and families were informed yesterday that they had to quarantine.

‘‘These are challenging times for us all and our thoughts and prayers are with all in our school community,” St Brendan’s principal Paula Stevenson said in an email to families.

Students and their families from both schools have joined the growing mass of people told to stay home under the Department of Health’s stop-and-stay orders.

TIER 1 Get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days from exposure. Case attended venue.
