- By Liam Nash FV eSeries

Do you consider yourself a soccer sensation as well as a FIFA phenom?

If so, it’s time put your skills to the test.

With 11-a-side action brought to a standstill throughout the state due to COVID-19 lockdown, Football Victoria (FV) is encouraging members housed under its banner to hit the virtual pitch with the launch of its statewide FIFA 21 E-Series competition.

To enter, participants must be registered with FV or be part of a FV club-association, meaning the competition is open to players, officials, referees and administrators only.

Separate tournaments will be held on PlayStation and Xbox, with places available in 16-and-under and open age categories.

First place in each category will receive $400 cash, the runner-up earning a $150 voucher.

“The tournament will kickoff on September 13 and include two qualifying weeks,” a FV statement read.

“The winners of each qualifying round will progress to the finals series starting on September 27 and culminating in the grand final on

October 3, where we will crown our grand champion.”

Entrants will need each of the following to stake their claim for FIFA glory: a console (Xbox or PlayStation), a copy of FIFA21, a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live account and a Discord account.

Owning a Twitch account is recommended with the potential to have your game streamed as a feature match.
