Gallery glass repairs are now under way

-

Scaffolding at the north-facing corners of the new Shepparton Art Museum is in place to allow repairs to glass windows damaged during the building’s installation.

Greater Shepparton City Council infrastructure director Phil Hoare said the custom-made glass had taken ‘‘considerable time’’ to be re-fabricated and shipped to Shepparton.

Mr Hoare said the installation was highly weather-dependent and could not be undertaken in wet weather. Crane lifts also cannot operate in moderate or high winds.

Mr Hoare said, weather permitting, the glass was expected to be installed by the end of next week.
