SHEPPARTON PARK Unfortunately this year’s Victorian Open has had to be cancelled owing to the uncertainty regarding COVID-19 restrictions.

This is another blow for Greater Shepparton and Goulburn Valley bowls clubs, but hopefully there is better news ahead.

Practice has started for midweek pennant (Mondays from 4pm) and Saturday pennant (Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm).

Great to see all greens in play last Tuesday night with several new players in attendance.

New players are always welcome at Shepparton Park, so come along if you want to give bowls a try.

Entries are being taken for club events, A and B-grade men’s and ladies’ singles and pairs.

Get your entries in by October 3.

Entry forms for state events are also on the notice board for those interested.

Wednesday night social bowls-night pennant will commence as soon as we are able to play.

Games start at 6.45pm and are completed by 8.45pm. A great evening!

Entries are looking good and phone Angelo Russo on 0414 476 206 if you would like to play.

Many thanks to Tom Downie for organising the inaugural Shepp Parkers footy tips.
