METRICON CELEBRATE WINS AT THE MASTER BUILDERS REGIONAL AWARDS

-

On Tuesday Morning, 14 September, the Master Builders Association of Victoria awarded Metricon’s Langdon, Sentinel and Fortitude homes, on display across Yarrawonga and Shepparton, with a prestigious win in their corresponding categories.

Held annually, the awards showcase the exceptional craftsmanship and standards of excellence in the residential and construction sectors of the building industry throughout Victoria. In the Regional North East category, the Langdon 26 in Yarrawonga took out ‘Best Volume Display Home $250,000-$350,000’; The Sentinel 29 in Kialla took out ‘Best Volume Display Home $350,000-$450,000’; and the Fortitude 37 also in Kialla took out ‘Best Volume Display Home over $500,000.’

Metricon Homes’ Manager, Regional North, Tania Tonks said, “At Metricon, we have a proud 40+ year history of creating homes for Australian families to love where they live. To receive this continued recognition for our workmanship, design and ongoing dedication to the highest standards on and off the worksite, is a credit to our Regional North team. We are always proud of our local team and the outstanding homes we build in the area, but especially in 2021, when we have an unprecedented volume of building starts.

“The success of the HomeBuilder scheme and lower interest rates have facilitated a surge in demand for new homes. In areas such as Shepparton and Yarrawonga we are experiencing record activity as savvy buyers seize the opportunity to secure a new home away from the city, with evidence that location is something customers are now looking at differently. With many organisations embracing working from home beyond COVID-19 restrictions, a home in our regional community is now being viewed more favourably – particularly if you are only commuting a few days per week.

“The demographic shift in population towards regional locations and low interest rates will continue to drive demand for new homes in the North East for months to come and what many are surprised to learn is that Metricon’s regional teams are comprised of local staff, site managers, service and warranty and trades, which means they too are part of the community where so many people are deciding to build beautiful new homes.”

Speaking about the award-winning home designs, Tania said, “The Langdon, the Fortitude and the Sentinel have smart floorplans, with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and multiple living spaces.

All the designs are perfect for families with seemingly endless room to grow in each home, and they all showcase stunning open plan living with connecting outdoor rooms, so they’re perfect for those who like to entertain as well,” Tania concluded.
