- By Isabelle Harris

Well-known author Tricia Stringer will discuss her new book Birds of a Feather at a Goulburn Valley Libraries online event tomorrow, at 2 pm.

The new release delves into what makes us the people we are — life experiences and our relationships with family and friends.

Ms Stringer is the author of the three bestselling novels — Table for Eight, The Model Wife and The Family Inheritance — as well as three historical books and seven rural romances.

Her novel Queen of the Road won the Romance Writers of Australia Romantic Book of the Year award 2013, with her two other novels Riverboat Point and Between the Vines nominated for the same award in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

Ms Stringer has spent most of her life in rural communities and worked for many years as a teacher, librarian, in a bookshop and as an IT co-ordinator.

Her novel writing story started after wanting to write stories to bring history alive for younger readers, which eventually led her to write stories for adults.

To register for the online event, visit your nearest Goulburn Valley library, phone 1300 374 765 and email gvrlc@gvrlc.vic.gov.au

The event will be livestreamed on Zoom with details provided before the event. It will also be available to view on the Goulburn Valley Libraries Facebook page.
