BP hours slashed

-

The Shepparton South BP service station has had its hours cut after two staff members tested positive to COVID-19 and are selfisolating.

Doors have been open for just five-and-a-half hours a day over the past few days, but a BP spokesperson confirmed the service station would return to 24-hour operation from Monday, October 25.

“All employees who work at the site have been notified of the situation and impacted employees will undergo testing and are closely monitoring for any symptoms,” the spokesperson said.

“All of our sites are following strict safety protocols, including increased sanitising procedures in store and on the fuel forecourt, the wearing of face masks and the use of QR codes.

“We take this situation very seriously — the safety and wellbeing of our employees and customers is our highest priority and we want to minimise their exposure and risk to COVID-19.

“The site has been deep cleaned and customers should be assured they can continue to safely shop and refuel at our BP Shepparton South store.”
