Secret Garden Gigs take to Tally hall

- By Anna McGuinness

The latest of The Secret Garden Gigs was held at Tallygaroopna hall on Saturday.

As the sun set outside, inside the hall glowed with lamps, bunting and rugs, and the crowd enjoyed live music from Fortessima and Koala Martini.

“It was absolutely stunning — the audience was wonderful and happy and grateful, and so receptive to the live music, especially the original songs by the headline act,” event organiser Jamie Lea said.

It was her first time at the Tallygaroopna hall and she said it was a hit.

“The beauty of The Secret Garden Gigs is discovering new places and spaces, and activating our own backyard,” she said.

“It’s about generating excitement for what’s in our region.”

Coming up next for Ms Lea, in collaboration with HD Production, is The Winter Sessions, with tickets available now for the first event on Saturday, May 28, at Dookie hall.

While The Secret Garden Gigs are usually held in backyards or mysterious locations, the Winter Sessions promote the location and line-up beforehand.
