3. Layers of love
As Australians, we often jump on a plane in one climate and off in another, usually in the shoulder season. Shore excursions can start early and, by the end of the day, the temperature variations can be up to 10 degrees. Pack a scarf and a lightweight jacket that you can roll up. Dress in layers that can then be peeled off and don’t forget your hat.
Specialist adventure cruises usually provide outerwear jackets. That leaves you to layer up in pants and tops made of natural fibres. Everyday Cashmere’s Merino Slouchy Zip Pants are a cruising staple. Merino adjusts to your body temperature, staying cool or warm as you need it, and is easy to wash and dry overnight. Take silk and cashmere singlets and long-sleeve T-shirts as comfortable onboard staples.
