Italian glamour marks the arrival of MSC Seaview
The new flagship of the expanding MSC Cruises fleet, MSC Seaview, was christened in a glamorous ceremony in the Italian port of Genoa, attended by a suite of stars and VIPs as well as top figures in the travel and media industries. Among them was Matteo Bocelli, son of tenor Andrea Bocelli, who sang during the Officers’ Parade, and the godmother of the new ship, Italian film and style icon, Sophia Loren, who cut the ribbon and launched the bottle of champagne to name the ship. Marking the third MSC Cruises vessel to be launched in just 12 months, MSC Seaview is specially designed for cruising in warmer climates like the Mediterranean, and features the upscale ship-within-a-ship concept, MSC Yacht Club.
