Facelift for Royal Portfolio safari lodge
Since its opening in 1999, Royal Malewane, the first property in the Biden family’s Royal Portfolio, has stood out as one of the most extravagant safari lodges in South Africa. The lodge has now emerged from an extensive refurbishment, covering major structural work including new floors, doorways, walls, decking and thatching, as well as resurfacing of the swimming pools. Guests will also notice the addition of exquisite pieces of furniture and exotic new fabrics, handpicked by Liz Biden, as well as new gazebo entrances in the two Royal Suites and a renovation of the kosher kitchen. Royal Malewane offers just eight suites and the Africa House six-bedroom villa, complementing safari activities with The Waters of Royal Malewane Bush Spa.
