The Langham’s Sydney edition is a pocket of Europe in the heart of the city. Beyond its marble lobby, the 98room hotel serves up distinguished experiences, from a Wedgwood high tea to indulgent spa treatments. The new highlight for visitors, however, has to be Observatory Bar. The ground-floor cocktail lounge opened late in 2018, garnering acclaim for its rare spirits menu and unusual cocktails. Not quite brave enough to try the Green Ant Martini? Go for the less controversial Neap Tide, a refreshing concoction of finger lime syrup, Ironbark Distillery Wattleseed Gin and sparkling wine, paired with a plump Sydney rock oyster.
