Leaving a legacy

Renowned Barossa Valley winery Grant Burge and Dylan Alcott AO encourage Australians to ‘Leave Your Mark’ and support young adults living with disabilities.

The first Barossa Valley grapes were planted in 1842, setting a bucolic scene for what has grown into one of Australia’s greatest wine regions.

About two decades later, Grant Burge Wines was established. Since then, the vintages it has bottled have influenced not only local South Australian grape growers, but also many generations of wine lovers around the world. Today, it is impacting the lives of Australians living with disabilities.

Grant Burge ambassador Dylan Alcott AO – a fourtime Paralympic champion – heroes the values behind Grant Burge’s new ‘Leave Your Mark’ campaign, launched to help support young adults living with a disability. As part of the brand’s alliance with Dylan – and demonstrating how the celebrated winery continues to leave its mark today – Grant Burge is proudly an official partner of the Dylan Alcott Foundation.

For the month of December, it is donating $2 from sales of Prosecco Zero and Filsell Shiraz to establish tertiary education scholarships across the country, eliminating barriers to education and providing future work opportunities for all Australians.

Dylan says, “To me, leaving your mark is all about being purpose-driven and authentic; doing something meaningful that will have a positive influence. Everyone has an opportunity in their own way to leave their mark, and I think that is something special we should all embrace.”

Grant Burge is renowned for crafting premium wines, distinctive to the Barossa region and the vintage.

To get behind the initiative, you can purchase from the latest vintage collection of Grant Burge wines in major retailers and select independent stores nationally and online. grantburgewines.com.au
