NOTES

Yarn A is worked in Grey 911 for all pat­terns with Yarns B and C chang­ing ac­cord­ing to your choice of colours. We have used the colours in the rain­bow se­quence for the Ta­ble Run­ner and copied sec­tions of this colour scheme for the Mats.

RE­LIEF SQUARE PAT­TERN

Row 1 (RS) See Row 1 of in­di­vid­ual pat­terns for Ta­ble Run­ner and Mat.

Row 2 Ch1, dc in each st to end, turn.

Rows 3-4 Change to Yarn B, and re­peat Row 2 twice more.

Rows 5-8 Change to Yarn C and re­peat Row 2 four times more.

Row 9 Change to Yarn B, ch1, dc in each of the first 3 dc, *(FPttr around next st 5 rows be­low) twice, dc in each of next four sts, (FPttr around next st 5 rows be­low) twice, dc in each of next two sts; re­peat from * across to last st, dc in last dc, turn.

Row 10 Re­peat Row 2.

Row 11 Change to Yarn A, ch1, dc in first st *(FPsixtr around next st 9 rows be­low) twice, dc in each of next 8 sts; re­peat from * across to last 3 sts, (FPsixtr around next st 9 rows be­low) twice, dc in last st, turn.

Row 12 Re­peat Row 2.

With RS fac­ing, join Yarn A to work across last row, ch3, 2tr in st at base of ch-3, tr in each of next 32 sts, 3tr in last st, ro­tate to work into row ends, work 98tr evenly along the long edge, ro­tate to work into start­ing ch, 3tr in first ch, tr in each of next 32 ch, 3tr in last ch, ro­tate to work into row ends, work 98tr evenly along the long edge, ss to top of beg ch-3 to join.

Use Grey 911 as Yarn A and the other colours in an or­der of your choice.

Rows 2-12 Work as Rows 2-12 of Re­lief Square Pat­tern.

Rows 13-32 Re­peat Rows 3-12 of Re­lief Square Pat­tern chang­ing Yarns A and B on each re­peat.

Fas­ten off and weave in ends.

BORDER

With RS fac­ing, join Yarn A to work across last row, ch1, 3dc in first st, dc in each of next 22 sts, 3dc in last st, ro­tate to work into row ends, work 22dc evenly along the long edge, ro­tate to work into start­ing ch, 3dc in first ch, dc in each of next 22 ch, 3dc in last ch, ro­tate to work into row ends, work 22dc evenly along the long edge, ss to top of first dc to join.
