UNICORN BLANKET

Wrap baby in the sweetest of rainbow tassels and a stripy unicorn horn. By Flynn Squirrell.

-

This baby blanket isn’t just any old blanket – it’s got the cutest of unicorn features on the hood and a tasselled fringe in pastel rainbow colours around the edges. Babies will look as cute as can be, as well as feeling snuggled and warm.

NOTES

The Hood is worked corner-to-corner (c2c) and sewn onto the corner of the Blanket. Make the Unicorn Horn and Ears separately and sew these in place at the end.

The Blanket is finished with a tassel border.

TASSELLED EDGING

Using Yarns B, C and D in turn, cut 5 lengths of one yarn, approx 8cm long, hold these as one strand and fold in half. Insert the hook through the Blanket where you want the tassel to be placed, pull the folded end of the tassel through, yrh with the ends of the tassels and pull them through the loop. Pull tight to secure in place. Repeat this around the edge of the Blanket alternating colours. Trim to approx 3cm, using the image as a guide.
