NOTES

This pat­tern is worked us­ing the amigu­rumi method. Work in a con­tin­u­ous spi­ral with­out clos­ing off each round with a slip stitch. You may find it help­ful to place a marker in the first st of each round and move it up as you work.

EYE PATCH (MAKE 2)

With Yarn A, ch18.

Round 1 Dc in sec­ond chain from hook, dc in each of next 15 ch, 2dc in last ch, work­ing along op­po­site side of start­ing chain, dc in each of next 16 ch. [34 dc]

Round 2 Ch2, 2tr in next st, 5tr, 4htr, 6dc, 2dc in each of next 2 sts, 6dc, 4htr, 5tr, 2tr in next st, ss in next st to close. [38 sts]

Fas­ten off leav­ing a long tail. Weave in ends from begin­ning of each Eye Patch.

With Yarn B, make a magic loop.

IN­NER EAR (MAKE 2)

With Yarn A, make a magic loop.

Round 1 (RS) Ch1, 6dc into the loop. [6 dc]

Round 2 2dc in each st around. [12 dc]

Round 3 (Dc, 2dc in next st) 6 times, ss in next st. [18 dc]

Fas­ten off and weave in ends.

OUTER EAR (MAKE 2)

With Yarn B, make a magic loop.

Round 1 (RS) Ch1, 6dc into the loop. [6 dc]

Round 2 2dc in each st around. [12 dc]

Round 3 (Dc, 2dc in next st) 6 times, do not fas­ten off. [18 dc]

Align the back of one In­ner Ear to the back of one Outer Ear, with the Outer Ear fac­ing you.

Round 4 Ch1, dc through both pieces in each of next 18 st, ss in next st. [18 dc]

Fas­ten off, leav­ing a long tail.

Sew the Ears in be­tween Rounds 24 and 25 on the Head, curve and sew the Ear flush against the back curve of the Eye patch. FLOWER (MAKE 6)

You need to make 2 Flow­ers in Yarn C, D and E. Make a magic loop.

Round 1 Ch1, 10dc into the loop, ss into the first st of the round. [10 dc]

Round 2 *(Tr, dtr, tr) in next st, ss in next st); re­peat from * 4 times more. [21 sts]

Fas­ten off leav­ing a long tail.

Sew the Flow­ers across the front of the Head, us­ing the im­age as a guide.

Her pretty out­fit gets a bal­le­rina trim – nice and tac­tile for lit­tle fin­gers and eas­ily made.

The eye pieces with safety eyes are sewn onto the head to give the badger her iconic stripes.

The arms are sewn onto the main body piece us­ing the long tail left after fas­ten­ing off.

The sweet flow­ers are hooked up in­di­vid­u­ally, then sewn around the head to fin­ish off.
