A 3.5mm (US E/4) hook

MEASUREMENTS

Each Motif measures 6x6cm (2 x2 in)

NOTES

You can use any 2 colours for Rounds 1 and 2, except Vanilla.

MOTIF MAKE 4

Using any colour, ch6, ss to first ch to form a loop.

Round 1 Ch3 (counts as tr), 11tr into the loop, ss to top of beg ch3 to join. [12 sts]

Round 2 Join next colour into any st, ch2 (counts as htr throughout), htr in same st as ch, 2htr in each st around, ss to top of beg ch2 to join. [24 sts]

Round 3 Join Vanilla into any st, ch2, *(2htr, ch2, 2htr) in next st, htr in next st, dc in next 3 sts, htr in next st; repeat from * three more

times omitting last htr, ss to top of beg ch2 to join. [24 htr, 12 dc, 4 ch-2 sps]

Round 4 Ch1 (does not count as st), dc in each st around, working 4dc in each corner ch-sp.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

TO MAKE UP

Whipstitch the Motifs together to form one larger square. Fold in half and sew opposite sides together on the WS.
