TO MAKE UP NECKLACE

All joins are made using jump rings. Using the photo as a guide, join a Small Granny Square to a Medium Granny Square, then join this to a Partial Granny Square. The Partial Granny Square should be joined at each side of the motif to the centre of the chain. Leave one loop of chain either side and attach the two Partial Granny Squares in Yarn C. Then leave six chain loops and attach a Small Granny Square at each side.

EARRINGS

Join the Small Granny Square to the bottom of a Partial Granny Square. Attach this to an earring hook using 2 jump rings to make sure the Earring is facing forward.

?? ?? From left: Sara’s stunningly simple idea consists of seven individual pieces joined together and attached to the chain with jump rings; the earrings feature a repeat of two of the necklace motifs; Sara tried out a few granny square-based motifs until she decided on her final shapes.
