Analogous colours like green and blue sit side-by-side on the colour wheel; complementary colours sit opposite each other.
A complementary colour scheme takes two colours sitting opposite each on the colour wheel. This arrangement provides the strongest possible contrast between two colours, however, it can pay to tread cautiously as the combination can be jarring. A simple way to make this work is by playing with tints, which is when white is added. In this case, I have used Peony Pink for the tropical leaf bag.
