Two Star pieces are made and then joined together to give a firmer finish.
STAR (MAKE 2 FOR EACH STAR)
Using Gold, ch4, ss to first ch to join into a loop.
Round 1 (RS) Ch1 (does not count as st), 6dc into the loop, ss to first st to join, turn. [6 sts]
Round 2 Ch1, 2dc in each st, ss to first st, turn. [12 sts]
Round 3 Ch1, (2dc in next st, dc in next st) 6 times, ss to first st, turn. [18 sts]
Round 4 Ch1, (dc in next st, 2dc in next st, dc in next st) 6 times, ss to first st, turn. [24 sts]
Round 5 Ch1, (2dc in next st, dc in next 3 sts) 6 times, ss to first st, do not turn. [30 sts]
Round 6 *Ch7, ss in second ch from hook, dc in next ch, htr, tr, dtr, trtr, skip 5 sts on Round 5, ss in next st; repeat from * 4 more times.
Fasten off.
BORDER AND HANGER
Place 2 Stars WS together. Join Cranberry or Fuchsia to any point of the stars.
Round 1 (Working through sts on both Stars) ch1, 3dc in same st as ch, *dc in each row end or st to next point, 3dc in point; repeat from * around, ss to first dc to join, ch30, ss to top of star.
