NOTES

There is a Chart on page 93 for the Front section of the Mittens. Each Square represents a dc st or dc2tog where directed. RS rows should be read from right to left, and WS rows from left to right. You can carry the unused yarn on the WS, twisting the ends together when you change colour to avoid holes in the fabric.

TO MAKE UP

With Front facing, join Off White in the end of first row of Front. Ss evenly around edge of Mitten until you reach the other end of the first row.

Fasten off.

Turn Mitten over so that Back is facing and repeat ss instructions in Off White, this time working through row ends of the Back as well as the ss just worked on the Front to join. With Front facing again, join Rock into first ss on both sides. Ss through each Off White st around Mitten.

Fasten off.

Turn Mitten over so that Back is facing and repeat ss instructions in Rock, this time working through Off White ss and previously worked Rock ss.

Repeat this process to join the Thumb together.

Cut a 40cm length of each yarn. Gently twist the lengths of each yarn together. Wrap this

cord around the Mitten, at the top of the Cuff, so the ends hang down from the wrist (away from the Thumb). Sew this cord in through the twists of Pomegranate. Tie the ends of the yarns together and trim to approx 5cm in length.

Weave in ends and block to measurements.
