Cool for cats

-

When 14-year-old Chloe Stott helped rehome three stray kittens through Cats Protection, she discovered a passion for helping cats without a family. As a natural born crafter, her first thought was to use her crafty talents to help them. “I donated a batch of crocheted cat toys and a small knitted blanket for the kittens,” she says.

But this was not enough for the ambitious young philanthropist. “I soon realised that with a couple of hundred supporters I’d be able to do a lot more.” To find like-minded charity crafters, in May 2018 Chloe set up Cats Protection Knitters on Ravelry, which now has more than 130 members! The group fundraise and donate cat toys to charities all around the world. If you’d like to take part, join the group on Ravelry at www.ravelry.com.
