A perfect marriage of yarn and pattern, this cowl is a challenging make with a sweet secret – an encircling pine thicket within its folds. As it is worked sideways you can make it the perfect width for you, and the ribbed top and bottom hugs it close to your body.
NOTES
Cowl is worked in short rows, turning at the end of each row. Row 1 and the final row are joined together at the end to form the Cowl shape.
Each row begins and ends with ribbing, with the central stitches making up the main body of the Cowl. Use the 5.5mm hook for all ribbing sts and the 5mm hook for all other sts.

TO MAKE UP
With WS facing, fold piece in half so that Row 1 meets Row 120, then ss through sts on both sides to join.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
TO FINISH
Handwash in cold or lukewarm water using gentle soap, rinse and squeeze in a towel to remove excess water. Pin out the Cowl, being careful to block the ribbing to the same measurements as the centre of the Cowl, and leave until dry.
