NOTES
Shawl is made up of 94 Stars. Stars are joined as you go (JAYG).
Each Star uses a total of 3 colours. You can use any colours throughout, changing to a different colour when directed.
SHAWL
FIRST STAR
Stars are worked with RS facing throughout. Using any colour, make a magic loop.
Round 1 (RS) Ch1, (does not count as st throughout), (dc in loop, ch3) 6 times, ss to beg dc. [6 dc, 6 ch-3 sps]
Fasten off.
Join next colour in any ch-3 sp.
Round 2 (RS) Ch2 (counts as first leg of 2-tr cl), (tr, ch3, 2-tr cl) in same sp, (2-tr cl, ch3, 2-tr cl) in each ch-3 sp around, ss to top of beg cl.
[12 cl, 6 ch-3 sps]
Fasten off.
Join next colour in any ch-3 sp.
Round 3 Ch3 (counts as tr), (2tr, ch3, 3tr) in same sp, *skip 1 cl, ss in sp between prev cl and next cl, skip next cl, (3tr, ch3, 3tr) in next ch-3 sp; rep from * 4 times more, skip 1 cl, ss in sp between prev cl and next cl, skip next cl, ss to top of beg ch-3. [36 tr, 6 ss, 6 ch-3 sps]
JAYG STARS (MAKE 93)
To form the Shawl, first work and join a row of 25 Stars. Next work a row of 24 Stars, joining to the previous row as you go. Then work a row of 23 Stars, joining to the previous row as you go and finish with a row of 22 Stars, joining in the same way. Each Star is joined to an adjacent Star over 2 corners.
Work Rounds 1-2 of First Star.
Choose any three shades for each motif to create a multicoloured spring accessory
Join next colour in any ch-3 sp.
JAYG round (RS) Ch3 (counts as tr), (2tr, ch3, 3tr) in same sp, *skip 1 cl, ss in sp between prev cl and next cl, skip next cl, 3tr in next ch-3 sp, ch1, dc in ch-3 sp on adjacent Star, ch1, 3tr in same ch-3 sp as prev 3-tr; rep from * for each corner being joined, **skip 1 cl, ss in sp between prev cl and next cl, skip next cl, (3tr, ch3, 3tr) in ch-3 sp; rep from ** for each corner not being joined, ss to top of beg ch-3. Fasten off.

Weave in all ends and block the shawl to measurements listed.
